Biography
As a founding partner of FSM, Collins leads the FSM Energy Services division overseeing project quality, financing, and analysis.
Collins has over 25 years experience in the many facets of commercial and institutional real estate. Prior to founding FSM’s energy services in 2011 (formerly named “kW Control”), his work history included over 5 years with Bank of America’s leveraged leasing division (issuing and managing over $3.5 billion in large equipment and facility financing), 12 years in large commercial/institutional real estate acquisitions, design, and construction totaling over $1 billion in value, and 8 years in commercial development/investments/management.
Throughout his career Collins has developed an expertise and commitment to optimizing the performance, efficiency, cash flow, and value of facilities. FSM contributes to these efforts in its core services of: engineering design, building controls, and energy services (financing, energy improvement upgrades, commissioning, BAS/BMS management, and consulting).
Collins’ experience, combined with the diverse technical strengths of the FSM team, help ensure that client energy and facility investment decisions are made with a sound balance of operational and financial prudence.
Collins is a on the board of the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Commission and a director of Prime Meridian Bank.
